The impact of anti-inflammatory drugs on having children

As a pregnant woman, no matter what the reason is, you cannot take anti-inflammatory drugs casually during pregnancy. Chinese medicine also needs to be taken under the strict guidance of a doctor, because anti-inflammatory drugs have a great impact on the baby in the belly. If you take anti-inflammatory drugs without knowing it, it may cause the baby's development, nervous system, and brain to be affected.

The use of antibiotics by pregnant women is generally divided into the following three types: one is allowed, with no harm or minimal harm to the fetus; the second is used with caution, which is harmful to the fetus, but when necessary, it can be used in a short course and small doses; the third is prohibited, which causes serious harm to the fetus and must never be used.

1. Available type: Penicillin is the first choice. The toxicity is low, and commonly used ones include ampicillin, carbenicillin, and cephalosporins such as cephalosporin.

2. Use with caution: Aminoglycosides include streptomycin, kanamycin, gentamicin, and kanamycin-butyl. They should be used with caution because they can damage the renal function and hearing of the fetus. If it is necessary to use it, it should be used in small doses and for a short course of treatment.

3. Disabled type:

① Tetracycline: It is a typical teratogen. In the early pregnancy, it chelates with calcium salts to prevent calcium salts from entering cartilage and bones, leading to fetal limb hypoplasia and microlimb deformities; in the second pregnancy, it inhibits fetal bone growth, causing congenital cataracts, abnormal development of deciduous teeth, and yellow deciduous teeth; in the late pregnancy, it causes tetracycline deposition in deciduous teeth and bones, making them yellow, and can cause fatty degeneration of the liver in pregnant women, so it is forbidden for pregnant women.

② Chloramphenicol combines with glucuronic acid in the liver to detoxify and is excreted through the kidneys. Because the fetal liver enzyme system is not perfect and the kidneys have poor excretion capacity, the use of chloramphenicol can easily cause "gray baby syndrome", which can damage the fetal hematopoietic system and cause fetal thrombocytopenic purpura, granulocytopenia or aplastic anemia. Therefore, it is forbidden for pregnant women to use chloramphenicol.

③ Iodine amine drugs, such as co-trimoxazole (English code SMZ), can easily pass through the placenta into the fetus, compete with the bilirubin in the fetal blood for plasma protein binding sites, increase the free bilirubin in the blood, and easily cause kernicterus, so they are prohibited for use by pregnant women. In addition, the antifungal drug griseofulvin is contraindicated in pregnant women because of its teratogenic effects. There is still controversy as to whether pregnant women can use nystatin and clotrimazole.

④ Nidazole (also known as metronidazole) is prohibited for use by pregnant women because it has teratogenic effects on the fetus.
