The protruding front teeth were pushed in

Protruding incisors are a very common dental deformity, but buck teeth may be more impressive to everyone. Protruding front teeth generally do not have much impact on the oral cavity, but they mainly look very unsightly and affect one's image. It is not a good idea to have protruding front teeth pushed in. Once they become loose, the tooth will easily fall out. I believe everyone is reluctant to accept the reality that they have lost a front tooth.

Teeth cannot be moved by hand. If you use external force to change the shape of the teeth for a long time, the periodontal membrane will be damaged and the teeth will become loose and deformed.

symptom

Some acute and chronic diseases and long-term indigestion can cause abnormal facial growth. For example, in addition to the square head phenomenon caused by rickets, maxillofacial deformities are also very obvious. Hyperpituitarism manifests itself in facial deformity - the forehead, cheekbones and mandible all protrude forward. Snoring while sleeping, thick lips, elongated middle of the face, sunken root of the nose, smaller maxillary dental arch, protruding dental arch, etc.

Protruding incisors are also called buck teeth. When the incisors protrude, the mouth cannot be closed, giving the impression of open lips and exposed teeth, protruding upper front teeth, and retracted lower jaw. This is clinically called protrusion deformity.

reason

Mouth breathing habits. Mouth breathing can cause dysfunction of the nasal cavity, oral cavity, lips, cheeks and jaw lifting muscles, eventually causing the maxillary incisors to protrude and the mandibular to retract. For such children, the nasal cavity can be checked for disease. Only when the relevant disease is cured and the mouth breathing habit is changed can the deformity that has just begun to form be corrected in time. For those who have already formed and cannot adjust themselves, orthodontic treatment is required.

Lip habits. Sucking or biting the lower lip can increase the forward force of the maxillary front teeth, while inhibiting the forward growth of the lower dental arch and causing mandibular retraction. Over time, the anterior-posterior relationship of the upper and lower incisors may become unbalanced. On the other hand, the forward growth of the upper dental arch and the excessive lip displacement of the upper incisors destroy the normal lip-tooth relationship, causing lip dysfunction and the upper lip being too short to close the mouth. For such children, correction can be achieved in the early stages by persuasion or by applying bitter agents to the lower lip. For children who have already formed the habit and the condition is not effective, orthodontic treatment is required to correct the lip habit or the deformity.

Thumb biting or chewing habits. Because the thumb or objects are often bitten between the upper and lower incisors, and there is a habit of exerting force forward and backward, the incisors will move forward and the lower incisors will move backward over time, eventually forming protrusion of the incisors and hindering the closure of the mouth. For these children, they can be persuaded or have some bitter agents applied to their thumbs to correct bad habits in the early stages. For those who cannot adjust their deformities on their own, orthodontic treatment can be performed.

Genetic factors. Although some children do not have bad habits, due to genetic factors, they have protruding incisors, which requires orthodontic treatment to change the protrusion of the incisors.
