Is stye caused by inflammation?

Stye is a disease that occurs for no reason. It is most likely to occur in autumn and spring. At this time, many people's eyes will feel dry, itchy and painful. We need to pay attention to it in normal times. This is mostly because of low personal resistance, malnutrition, and easy to get angry, which leads to stye.

Between spring and summer, the weather gradually gets warmer, and some people may develop styes on their eyes. These styes are not caused by the heat, but mostly caused by infection with Staphylococcus aureus when the patient's resistance is weakened, malnutrition occurs, or he suffers from blepharitis.

In terms of prevention, people who are prone to styes should pay attention to eye hygiene, increase nutrition, actively treat blepharitis, and correct refractive errors. There are several ways to treat styes:

1. In the acute stage of stye, hot compress should be applied to the affected area mainly, 2 to 3 times a day, each time for 15 minutes.

2. Patients with stye can use topical antibiotic eye drops or antibiotic eye ointment. If the patient has swollen and painful preauricular lymph nodes or systemic fever, he or she can take antibiotics or Chinese herbal heat-clearing and detoxifying agents orally or by injection.

3. When the stye is mature, it can be incised and the pus can be drained (do not squeeze the stye to prevent the spread of inflammation and cause orbital cellulitis or sepsis). It is worth noting that for a stye that is about to break through the skin, it should be incised and drained before it breaks through the skin. This can not only reduce the patient's pain, but also avoid scars.
