How to eliminate the fear in your heart

How to eliminate the fear in your heart

Fear is an emotional response that occurs when a person becomes overly nervous in a particularly scary situation. Especially when you see your interests being violated or your safety being threatened, this emotion will take over your entire body. Fear can make people do bad things, so fear should be eliminated in time. How to eliminate the fear in your heart?

Human emotions are a response to stimuli. This is the cause of a series of reactions. If negative emotions persist too long or are experienced too deeply, they will destroy the signaling and regulatory functions of emotions and cause confusion in psychological activities and behavioral patterns. Therefore, the emotion that poses the greatest threat to people's physical and mental health is fear. Pathogenic factors in the external environment and the body itself often first cause people to have an emotional reaction of fear, and then produce abnormal changes in other psychological and physiological functions.

When fear arises, it is often accompanied by a series of physiological changes, such as accelerated or irregular heartbeat, shortness of breath or pause, increased blood pressure, pale face, trembling lips, dry mouth, cold sweats, weakness in the limbs, etc. These physiological dysfunctions often lead to or promote the occurrence of physical diseases.

Fear can disrupt a person's perception, memory and thinking processes, causing him or her to lose the ability to analyze and judge the current situation and causing behavioral disorders. For example, when a hotel catches fire, people staying in the hotel often appear panicked, nervous, and at a loss. They rush to get out, and if they can't get out, they jump off the building.

So, how do we eliminate the emotion of fear?

Human emotions are a product of society. The objects that cause fear are different, the specific circumstances are different, and the methods of eliminating fear will inevitably vary from person to person. Trying to find a universal approach is futile. However, since fear is a response to objective stimuli, it must be changed through the readjustment and training of objective cognition. Therefore, the following aspects can be considered:

(1) Establish a correct outlook on life. Different outlooks on life lead to different views on things. Some people place too much emphasis on personal fame, status and material benefits, and may often feel insecure. When these are threatened, they will think that everything is over, and they will be terrified and unable to control themselves. "Only by being selfless can one be fearless." Only those who take the world as their responsibility and integrate themselves into the people can remain calm and fearless in the face of danger.

(2) Avoid scary situations. When you encounter scenes that cause fear, try to avoid or eliminate them, and the feeling of fear will soon ease.

(3) Get used to scary situations. You must have the courage to touch and contact the scenes that you fear. Once you get used to them and know that they are “nothing special,” you won’t be afraid of them anymore. Like many people who were afraid to speak at a meeting at first, but later forced themselves to speak? With everyone's encouragement, I will no longer be nervous when speaking at meetings, and my expressions and movements will be natural.

(4) Learn relevant knowledge. People's fear of certain scenes, such as thunder and lightning, is related to their lack of knowledge in this area and their failure to understand the "reasons behind it". When you know that this is a normal phenomenon in nature, the fear will naturally ease.

Some people often feel fear not towards objects but towards communicating with strangers. This may be caused by inner shadows when they were young. If this is the case, if you want to eliminate this fear, you should do what you are most afraid of, communicate with others boldly, and speak in front of others. By doing this, the fear in your heart will gradually disappear.
