Early symptoms of bone cancer:

1. Pain is the main symptom of early bone tumors. The condition is mild and intermittent. As the condition stops, the pain can gradually increase and persist. Most patients experience worsening pain at night, affecting sleep. The pain can radiate to distant places.

2. Swelling or mass: Tumors located under or on the periosteum are early, and bone shrinkage and deformation can be felt. If the tumor passes through the bone, a fixed soft tissue mass may be produced with a smooth or uneven surface.

3. Functional impairment: In the later stages of bone tumors, the function of the affected area will be hindered due to pain and swelling, which may be accompanied by muscle atrophy in the corresponding area.

4. Tumors that grow into the cranial cavity and nasal cavity can squeeze the brain and nasal tissues, causing intracranial pressure and poor breathing; pelvic tumors can squeeze the rectum and bladder, causing difficulty in defecation and urination; spinal tumors can squeeze the spinal cord, causing paralysis.

5. The deformity is caused by the tumor affecting the development and stability of the limb bones, which is more obvious in the lower limbs.

6. Pathological fractures: Tumor sites can easily cause fractures with only slight external force. The fracture site is swollen and painful. Pathological fractures of the spine are often complicated by paraplegia.

7. Due to tumor consumption, toxin stimulation and pain, bone tumors may cause a series of systemic diseases such as insomnia, irritability, loss of appetite, physical depression, pale complexion, emaciation, anemia, malignant lesions, etc.
