Can early-stage hamartomas be cured?

Can early-stage hamartomas be cured? Many people now believe that there is no way to treat hamartomas, and that the tumor is a sign of the end of life. Many patients are in great pain, and their families are also concerned about whether they can be cured. Let us now understand whether early-stage hamartomas can be cured.

Hamartoma is completely curable with early treatment. Any disease should not delay treatment, as it will be more difficult to cure if it is delayed for a long time. Let us learn how to treat hamartoma:

Pulmonary hamartomas found during health examinations are sometimes difficult to distinguish from malignant tumors in the lungs because there is no dynamic observation. Pulmonary hamartomas that grow rapidly in a short period of time are also difficult to diagnose. Therefore, when clinical and X-ray findings cannot rule out malignant tumors, surgery should be performed as soon as possible. Even for benign hamartomas, early surgery can avoid complications such as pneumonia, atelectasis, and bronchiectasis caused by tumor growth, which can aggravate or complicate the condition.

The operation is performed under general anesthesia. After opening the chest, the tumor can be seen on the surface of the lung. It is hard and not smooth. You can feel the tumor sliding in the lung tissue. The tumor can be completely removed by cutting the lung tissue and separating it slightly. Except for endobronchial hamartoma or other possible malignant tumors, local resection or lung segment resection is generally performed.

Life care:

Patients should pay attention to keeping a good mood, avoid getting angry, eat more vegetables and fruits, keep bowel movements smooth, do not eat too much, eat about 70% to 80% full, eat less beef, mutton, pork, and dog meat, avoid greasy and heavy foods, strong alcohol, and spicy fried foods, and eat light, nutritious foods. Patients with hamartomas should avoid excessive exertion at work and when doing housework, do not hold heavy objects, and do not do strenuous exercise.
