Blisters on the palm of my hand

Blisters on the palm of my hand

Generally, there are no pores, but the palms are prone to sweating, so it is normal to have blisters on the palms. There is a disease called dyshidrotic eczema, which mainly appears on the palms and soles of the feet. The edges of the fingernails are relatively symmetrical, and when they occur, there are several small blisters scattered densely, the same as normal skin color, not too red and swollen, but after being broken, mucus will infect other parts and cause complications.

Symptoms and signs

1. It often occurs on the palms, fingertips, and sides of fingers, rarely on the backs of hands and soles, and often occurs symmetrically.

2. Sudden appearance of numerous clustered or scattered small blisters deep in the epidermis with normal skin color. Mucous fluid oozes out after the blisters burst. After a few days, the blisters are absorbed and dry up, leaving ring-shaped scales. The patient feels itching and burning. If the disease lasts for a long time, it may cause dryness, desquamation, and thickening of the skin on the palms. If there is secondary infection, pustules may form and the inflammation is obvious. In severe cases, lymphangitis and lymphadenitis may occur.

3. It starts in late spring and early summer, gets worse in summer, and heals itself in winter. It often coexists with excessive sweating of the hands and feet, and recurs regularly every year.

4. It is more common in teenagers and can be alleviated or healed on its own after middle age.

Medication

1. Oral administration: 30 mg/d of prednisone for about 1 week, the effect is better. For those with mental tension, sedatives such as oryzanol, propantheline bromide (propantheline), propantheline bromide (bromophenoxine) can be appropriately used.

2. Local

(1) In the early stage, the treatment is mainly to dry and relieve itching. You can use hand and foot hyperhidrosis lotion or 3% to 5% formalin for external application, or use 5% alum solution, 5% lead acetate or aluminum acetate solution, or use compound zinc and copper immersion solution diluted 5 times and soak for 20 minutes once a day or every other day. After soaking or wet compress, apply steroid cream or sweat blister paste.

(2) For dry and desquamating skin, corticosteroid cream or ointment can be used. If local peeling, dryness and pain occur repeatedly, 2% to 5% salicylic acid ointment, 10% urea cream can be applied externally, or superficial X-ray irradiation can be used once a week, 100 seconds each time, for a total of 6 times.
