In life, some friends may find that their fingers have peeling symptoms, but they don’t know why. There are many factors that cause peeling of fingers. Only after finding the exact cause can treatment or body conditioning be carried out. What causes peeling of fingers? Peeling is generally seasonal, occurring mostly in the hot and humid seasons of late spring and summer, and often recurs for many years. Apart from a slight itching sensation, it will not affect your health. The disease is mainly caused by blood deficiency and blood dryness, malnutrition of the skin, and dryness, heat and wind. The treatment should be to nourish blood, moisten dryness, dispel wind and relieve itching. Common causes of peeling hands include tinea manuum caused by fungal infection; contact dermatitis caused by chemical damage; and exfoliative keratolysis caused by congenital genetic factors. Causes of peeling fingers Type 1: Peeling Symptoms: White skin peels off on the surface of both hands, without itching or inflammation. Treatment: Doctors point out that this is the most common and most likely symptom of hand keratin exfoliation in early autumn. Although it affects appearance, it generally does not require treatment. It will heal on its own after 2-3 weeks as long as you avoid contact with irritating chemicals such as soap and hand sanitizer. It can be combined with oral medication for treatment: soak 30 grams each of the Chinese medicine Atractylodes lancea, Phellodendron chinense, and Atractylodes lancea, apply them on the palms, and take vitamin C at the same time. Type 2: Dry dermatitis Symptoms: White skin peels off on both hands and cracks on fingers. Treatment: Dry peeling in early autumn is most common in young and middle-aged women and is related to frequent hand washing with soap. You should reduce the frequency of hand washing, avoid using alkaline soaps and hand sanitizers, and try to wear gloves when washing clothes. Go to the hospital or pharmacy to buy antiseptic cleansing liquid such as Fu Kang Jie for external application. Type 3: Ringworm Symptoms: Peeling occurs first on one hand and then spreads to both hands. The palms appear erythematous, inflamed, and itchy, and most patients with tinea manuum also suffer from tinea pedis. Treatment: Because tinea manuum is contagious, you need to go to the hospital for early diagnosis and treatment, and insist on applying the special ointment prescribed by the doctor. |
